Since 1980, Newborough workshops have been held not only in Canada but also in many other countries. We have welcomed and inspired many teachers, assistants, caregivers and parents alike.
Montessori workshops have always been, and continue to be, very effective in informing parents/guardians, caregivers and educators about the Montessori method of education, which will answer all the questions you may have. We will provide the reasoning for:
- What we teach
- How we teach
- Why we teach (our goals)
- When we teach a particular lesson
Allow the information provided in our Newborough workshop eliminate any concerns you may have and become informed advocates of your children’s education, particularly during these formative years.
“The most important period of life is not the age of university studies, but the first one, the period from birth to the age of six”. The Absorbent Mind by Dr. Maria Montessori
We appreciate and recognize that parents/guardians are also educators; your children’s first educators. Past participants have expressed how helpful workshops have been for their own understanding of Dr. Montessori’s philosophy and principles, and also for the teachers and assistants in attendance to understand your concerns, interests and feelings. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect!
We offer workshops over a ten-day period in July. Participants may choose any or all of the five subjects offered. Kindly reference the July 2017 Workshop Guide and Registration Form for options available.
